I have recently been planning the curriculum model for GCSE History, Edexcel Medicine Through Time, which is built upon the principles of:
1: Pragmatic Rehearsal (getting the learners ready for the exam in 2017)
2: CGL (learning GCSE History KUS through collaborative enquiry)
3: Master Classes (teacher led, targeted, KUS classes to drive forward learning)
4: Authentic Challenge (all learning leads to an authentic showcase of learning, moving the rhetoric away from mere “do this because it will be on the exam”)
